Hello to all,

Well, here we are... just one month short of the vernal equinox... and it is also time for another club meeting.

And, I want to thank you all for doubling my compensation.  You see, I am compensated with personal satisfaction of being your secretary/treasurer and it turns out my personal satisfaction has been doubled by our club membership doubling from 14 to 28 in the past year.  So thank you all again.

Now, why in the world would I be starting off the meeting reminder like this?  Good question!  OK, OK, OK, so you are all seeing right through this... yes, that's right, it is time for membership dues to be collected, so feel free to bring your $10.00 with you to the meeting.

Right, the meeting...

Monday, February 24, 2014 at 7:00pm at Uno Chicago Grill on U.S. Route 9 in Queensbury (right across the street from Walmart - near exit 19 of I-87).

And, of course we have a fine presentation planned about a subject that is very dear to all of us.

And, of course we have a fine presentation planned about a subject that is very dear to all of us. Beep.

You guessed correctly... the subject is repeaters.  Our presenter will be Jim McKnight and here is what Donald (N2VU) has to say about this month's presentation:

"If you use any of the repeaters in our system or neighboring repeaters in the area (Mt EQ, Greylock, Spruce, etc) then this is a meeting you shouldn’t miss. Learn all there is to know about them and how to take advantage of their features by hearing from the person who maintains them. There'll be a lot of show and tell in the form of images from the sites and repeater components brought in to show. Etc, etc..."

Also, I want to thank Adam (KC2TLS) for taking notes at the January meeting (y'know... the one I missed... ).  Those notes are included as an attachment to this message.  Adam called the notes "meeting mini-minutes", but I believe the correct term should be "meeting seconds".  Anyway, no matter what you want to call them, I say thanks to Adam for helping out.

Hope to see you all at the meeting on Monday.

73,
Dan.
